The Gear We Use for Our Projects

This is the camera body we use most often. It shoots fabulously detailed photos and high quality video at high frame rates. When out in the field capturing nature or in the studio shooting portraits, this camera is our first and last choice.

An extremely versatile camera lens, though it’s technically meant for macro photography (hence the MC), it’s actually a great lens for portraits as well. This is our go-to lens when out shooting from the hip in nature, in the city, or at events.

One of the lenses we prefer when shooting landscapes, real estate, and events. The 35mm focal length provides a wide view that's pleasing to the eye, and the 1.8 aperture allows for pretty amazing low light performance that produces incredibly crisp images.

There are some things you just can't do without a flash/speedlight, like take extremely high shutter speed shots, or take macro shots at f/7.1 and above. This speedlight has worked great for us. Long battery life, rechargeable battery, powerful exposures.

For when it's completely necessary to have a shakeless image, or for when you're taking photos of yourself, this remote shutter is priceless. We've used it a bunch and it works beautifully, no noticable lag, and all your cameras shutter features at thumbs length.

Absolutely love this drone. We use it for aerial videos and photos or scenery, real estate properties, and really anything that needs a birds-eye view. The gimbal is very smooth, picture quality is excellent, and the software is just packed with cool features.

A recent addition to our gear lineup, we've been very happy with these so far. Used for studio sessions they are very bright. We use 2 of them in medium to small spaces. The ability to adjust the color of the white and other colors is top-notch. Highly recommend.

These batteries last a heck of a long time in the field, but it never hurts to have some spares just in case. When you're out in the field there aren't many options when you run out of juice. An extra battery or two can save the day.

Telephoto lens that's great for nature photography. When nature is just out of reach, this lens will get you right up close to your subject. What's great about this lens is that the zoom mechanics are all internal, so the lens doesn't extend, keeping balance perfect.

We have a lot of old DSLR Nikon lenses that we love and still want to use with the Z cameras. This adapter allows us to do just that! Snap this on your Z camera, snap an F lens on to that, and you're good to go.

We use this memory card specifically for photography. It's super fast when it comes to photos, but cant record raw 8K video (at least not with the Z9 anyway). With other video formats it does very well, but we've found that photos are best with this card.
